FOUNDATION AND CORPORATE RELATIONS MANAGER (We are currently accepting applications for this position.) Grist seeks a skilled, experienced, and entrepreneurial Foundation and Corporate Relations Manager. This person will be the linchpin of a team that is dedicated to renewing and expanding Grist's base of institutional support. Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Development, the Foundation and Corporate Relations Manager is responsible for developing and managing Grist's foundation and corporate support. The Manager will identify and cultivate foundations and corporations that can support Grist's work, develop grant proposals and other funding requests, and maintain relationships with all current foundation donors and corporate supporters. Job Description: The Development Director will be responsible for designing and executing Grist's fundraising strategy. This is an exciting time at Grist: we've set forth on a multi-year, organization-wide campaign we call Grist 2.0. Grist has grown fast and will continue to do so. As part of our strategic plan, we expect to significantly grow our contributed income within three years. Reporting to the president and working closely with board members, the director will be part of Grist's management team and supervise our growing development staff. We're looking for someone who can quickly build on the organization's success and rapid growth and play a hands-on role in expanding the current development program. Priorities will include creating a major-donor program and extending our innovative e-philanthropy program. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with an energetic personality who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Grist is increasingly taking advantage of Web2.x publishing opportunities - user-interactive content, dynamic syndication, social-distribution - which will be a significant focus of this position. Grist's production output will include traditional websites, RSS feeds, tailored email, audio, video, widgets, and will evolve toward technologies that haven't been developed yet. The Web Production Manager will play a vital role in Grist's daily publishing, coordinating schedules, priorities, and bridging the gap between Grist writers and Grist readers.
